Would you like an expert on your team to help clarify the vital psychological issues?

Dr. Simon has extensive experience working with attorneys helping them better understand and articulate to the Court what the important psychological issues are and how they impact your children and you. In this role, Dr. Simon acts as a consultant to your attorney, working behind the scenes, helping your attorney present a more convincing and compelling case to the Court.

When you hire Dr. Simon in this capacity, he will:

  • Make sure that your concerns are clearly understood and addressed in the litigation plan.
  • Guide your attorney to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the forensic psychological work products before the Court.
  • Assist your attorney in explaining in plain language, the key psychological elements of the case, what they mean, what their implications are for the children and for the litigation and litigation plan.
  • Conduct research and provide your attorney with up-to-date information, derived from empirical study, with regard to vital elements of the case.
    • For example, he identifies what research tell us about developmentally appropriate parenting plans for children at certain ages; what is the impact of bringing a new parental love interest into the life of a child.
  • Educate you and clarify your understanding of the forensic mental health issues in the case so that you can more clearly understand the pathway that lays ahead for your case.
  • Develop and articulate a unifying theory of the case.
  • Advise with regard to strategic elements of how to put on your case, stage your case and present your case in trial.
  • Write and/or assist your attorney in writing direct and cross examination questions for expert witnesses testifying before the Court or being deposed in preparation for trial.
  • Work hands on with the attorney, being present in depositions and trial to provide real-time consulting and adjustments to the litigation plan and testimony plan.

With more than 25 years of experience as a professional psychologist, Dr.Simon has the skill set and ability to weave together the psychology concepts, forensic thinking and legal procedures in a manner that makes you more effective and convincing.

You can expect Dr. Simon to explain the psychology elements of the case and present issues in clear, concise and compelling manner.
